Ain't no other man....but 4 of them

Decided to check out who was behind Christina Aguilera's "Ain't No Other Man". Here is what I found:

Charles Roanes contributes as producer. Credit's include engineering 50 Cents "Get Rich or Die Tryin". He teamed the production on this project with DJ Premier, formally of Gang Starr. This is a band I was unfamiliar with until now, but you can definitely hear the influences in this new track. Go to Itunes, type in Gang Starr, listen to the song "Jazz Thing". The musical influences are definitely there.

Pop-Songwriting Goddess Kara DioGaurdi contributed on the tune, as it seems she does with every new hit on the charts. Maybe she thought up the cool bridge part - "ain't no other, ain't ain't no other other", or maybe just was there to develop the raw idea into lyrics and music that a million people connect to.

The Other contributer is Harold Beatty. From what I can gather, he was a producer back in the mo-town days, and maybe was brought on board to give it that "Back to the Basics" sound.

What have I learned - to get the sound you are looking for, it may require enlisting influential people from a variety of genres to to make a hit like Christina's chart topper.
